African players top Premier League goal scorers

Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon), won the golden boot for the just concluded English Premier league, with a total goal count of 22 goals each among them.

African players top Premier League goal scorersMohamed Salah – who is listed on the TIME 100 List this year – has won the golden boot title two years consecutively now, and has been an outstanding player this season. He has enjoyed tremendous support from Sadio Mane as both are team mates of Liverpool FC who finished second on the table and following a remarkable comeback in the semi-finals against Barcelona, are set to face Tottenham in the finals on June 1 in Spain.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who plays for 5th placed Arsenal, declared he was proud to share the golden boot with Salah and Mane, “I am sharing this trophy with Mane and Salah. I like these two guys. We are representing Africa, so it is a good sign for the continent,” he said.

They have indeed made Africa proud and we’ll be delighted to see Salah and Mane return to help Egypt and Senegal respectively, play to win the African Cup of Nations in June, but Aubameyang won’t be present as Gabon didn’t qualify for the tournament.
