AFRICA ACCELERATES: The 16th Annual Africa Business Conference at Harvard Business School

The Africa Business Club at Harvard Business School is excited to invite you to the 16th Annual Africa Business Conference held from February 28th to March 1st, 2014. This year’s theme, “Africa Accelerates: Equipping a Vibrant African Economy” recognizes the need for Africa to change gears on its growth story. Africa must move beyond commodities led growth to focus on human capital development internally. We believe that inclusive growth will only be achieved by equipping people with the skills needed for a vibrant economy.

We propose that the necessary parts to move Africa’s young population forward will be education and training, sustainable job creation, and entrepreneurship on the continent. The event features a mixture of inspirational keynotes, dynamic panel discussions, a diverse career fair and a live business plan competition centered around the theme.  The weekend will be interspersed with cultural events and networking opportunities culminating with the annual evening gala.

Our goal is to equip every attendee with new tools to achieve their own personal ambitions for Africa. We invite you to start the process now by registering today and interacting with our online community.

We have an exciting line-up of Keynotes for the 2014 Africa Business Conference. Leaders from across the continent will join us to share their views on Africa Accelerating into the bright future ahead.

The 2014 Africa Business Conference will include several new activities including a New Venture Competition. To find out more about the competition as well as how to enter, click on the link below.
