Africa Cup of Nations 2024 Draw

On Tuesday the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations draw will take place in Johannesburg, and despite being penalized by FIFA for governmental interference, Kenya and Zimbabwe have been included.

As anticipation builds for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations draw, CAF has announced that two countries have been included in the tournament with the hopes that any existing bans will be lifted before the opening match in June. This announcement has certainly increased excitement for what promises to be an exciting tournament!

The draw for the Africa Cup of Nations 2024 was held this week, with 24 teams set to battle it out to be crowned champions. The draw saw Egypt, Cameroon, Algeria and South Africa each placed in a different group. This tournament will be the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup Of Nations and is due to take place in January 2024.

The tournament is set to begin on January 9th, following the conclusion of all domestic leagues. The first game will take place at the Stade Olympique in Nouakchott, Mauritania, featuring a match between Senegal and Guinea.

Ivory Coast, the host country, will kick off their campaign for the title on January 10th against Sierra Leone at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan. Having won the competition twice in the past, Ivory Coast boasts an impressive record in the AFCON, and will undoubtedly aim to impress their home fans.
