Access Bank Launches Moneygram Service‎ in Gambia

Access Bank Gambia Limited on Wednesday launched the international money transfer service, MoneyGram, at its head office at Kairaba Avenue in the Kanifing Municipality.

Speaking at the occasion, the chief operating officer of the Bank, Isaiah Ailenmoagbon, said the launching of the money transfer service is another milestone in the Bank’s corporate efforts to deepen the retail rate of business.

“You can see that the continent of Africa is a good strategic aspect of MoneyGram services, thus the launching of this important service today represents the good move for Access Bank Gambia Limited,” Ailenmoagbon said.

He expressed his profound gratitude to MoneyGram country representative to The Gambia, Banky Grey-Johnson and the entire Access Bank staff for their support throughout the process.

“We started MoneyGram in The Gambia with only five agents and for us at MoneyGram we have to take care of anything that is to do with marketing, advertising, and sensitising the populace on how MoneyGram operates,” Grey-Johnson added.

The ceremony was chaired by Madam Fatou Taal, Group Head and Public Sector Affairs at Access Bank and it was also attended by a cross section of the Access Bank staff and their customers.
