Effective on 11 April 2017, a codeshare agreement between Ethiopian Airlines and Air Europa took effect.
The free sale codeshare agreement gives the partner airlines access to each other’s network by creating smooth connection at their respective hubs.
“We are pleased to optimize our collaboration with Air Europa through this instrumental codeshare agreement,” Busera Awel, Chief Commercial Officer, Ethiopian Airlines said.
The new partnership will enable Ethiopian Airlines’ customers reach multiple destinations in Europe through one point check-in at point of origin.
They will get excellent connectivity to Air Europa’s European, Spanish and American destinations from the carrier’s Madrid hub.
Air Europa, which flies to 51 worldwide destinations, will have a presence in Africa through this strategic collaboration, Deputy Director of the airline Imanol Pérez noted.
The airline will enjoy minimum layover at Ethiopian’s Addis Ababa hub and offer its passengers a wider choice of travel destinations by connecting to Ethiopian Airlines’ vast network of 53 major African cities.
