Ethiopia: Administration working to create jobs for over 250,000 unemployed youth

The Addis Ababa City Administration micro and small enterprise bureau has said that it is working to engage more than 250,000 unemployed youth in gainful activities this budget year alone.

Deputy head of the bureau, Asamen Gerawork, said his bureau is set to engage the youth in manufacturing, construction, service sector, urban agriculture and business by organizing them in micro and small enterprises.

Moreover, the bureau has made preparations to create additional job opportunities in partnership with federal institutions and enterprises, such as Ethio-telecom, Ethiopian Electric Power and Merchandise Wholesale and Import Trade Enterprise, he added.
