Global Competitiveness: Mauritius, South Africa are the most competitive economies in Africa

The Global Competitiveness Index 2016-2017 released by the World Economic Forum shows Mauritius and South Africa as the best performing African economies.

By moving up five places from its 2015-2016 ranking to occupy the 114th spot , Ghana was rated the most improved economy on the continent, climbing five places. Mauritius (45th) and South Africa (47th), the most competitive economies in Sub-Saharan Africa, remain substantially stable.

According to Footprint to Africa, Tremendous promise for higher economic growth and societal progress dawns with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
