Ethio telecom is set to introduce mobile credit card service for its clients, FBC reports.
According to Andualem Admasie, CEO Ethio telecom, agreements have been signed with two global companies to put in place the new system, which was proved successful in other countries.
“We will begin providing the new service for its clients soon,” he added.
The company also plans to start new services in this Ethiopian fiscal year.
Ethio telecom recently signed an agreement to build headquarters (HQ) at a cost of over 4.5 billion birr.
The headquarters will rest on 37,000 square meters of land in the premises of Ethio-ICT village in Addis Ababa.
It will comprise a 14-floor five buildings with a height of 45 meters and a 10-metre underground extension each, it was noted.
The headquarters, capable of accommodating 5,000 employees, will be completed in three years time.
