Ethiopia earned over $1 billion from export trade in the past five months of this budget year, according to Public Relation Head of the Ministry, Amakle Yimam.
He told Walta Information Center that Ethiopia earned close to $1.1 billion from the export of agricultural, manufacturing and mining products in the past five months of the current budget year. The Ministry was able to achieve 74.7 percent of its plan. Their target for export earnings for the five month period was a little over $1.4 billion.
According to information obtained from the Ministry, agricultural commodities export leads the revenue generated from export by earning the country close to $789.4 million followed by manufacturing products which brought in close to $146 million.
