Airtel Tanzania, through its ‘Airtel FURSA’, programme has continued to empower youths in Dar es Salaam through entrepreneurship training to improve their skills on business management, according to Daily News.
Airtel corporate social responsibility manager Ms Hawa Bayumi, speaking at the Airtel FURSA seminar in Dar es Salaam for youth entrepreneurs aged between 18 to 24, said: “We decided to focus on youth because of their passion and willingness to fight to improve their businesses and we believe that they will make big improvement after getting this entrepreneurship training from Airtel Fursa.”
Ms Diana Isaiah, an entrepreneur who benefited from the training, says that she got training and skills which will help to improve her business.
“This is a unique opportunity for me as young entrepreneur and I am very grateful to Airtel for providing this training which will help me and other young entrepreneurs to tackle our challenges,” said Diana.
“I encourage other youths to prepare business ideas without waiting for someone to provide money, they should begin to organize themselves and respond to the opportunities available in their areas like the one we have received today.”
Since it started, the Airtel FURSA entrepreneurship training for youth has reached more than ten regions where many youth benefited from the program and have been able to establish or develop their business.
