Ethiopia, Korea Sign MoU for Urban Development Cooperation

Ethiopia and the Republic of Korea have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a cooperation framework on urban development and the housing sector, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

Ethiopia’s Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mekuria Haile, and Mr. Yoo Li, Korea’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, signed the MoU in Seoul on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

Mekuria, at the signing ceremony, said the MoU will help Ethiopia to draw lessons from the Republic of Korea in areas of land and housing development and the preparation and implementation of urban planning.

Mr. Yoo, on his part, said his country is committed to give support in these sectors and provide knowledge and technology transfer and experience sharing.
