The Contest has two elements:

1. “Drawing the lines against malaria” – A drawing contest for primary school students. Draw a picture of actions taken to prevent malaria in your home or classroom. The pictures should illustrate a clear action which has been taken against malaria.

2. “Write off malaria” – An essay competition for secondary school students. Write a creative story or essay based on the cycle of malaria. The story/essay should cover one of the following topics: prevention of malaria OR how to treat malaria.

All entries should be completed and sent no later than April 19, via e-mail to or to the Art Teacher (for Grazrutsoka Intervened Schools only). Please provide contact details that we can reach you on, should you be shortlisted.

The entries will go through a process of shortlisting and winners will be selected by an independent Panel of Judges set-up by our sponsors, ExxonMobil. The winners will emerge and be announced by May 1, 2013.
