Youth unemployment in Nigeria generally and Lagos in particular is growing. The National Bureau of Statistics estimates that the unemployment rate in Nigeria stands at 21%. This rate measures the number of people actively looking for a job as against the labour force.

    Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI) is working with several partners in various sectors to help provide solutions to unemployment in the country. Youths represent the strength and future of our country but we need to better understand the challenges we face and the opportunities we seek. Only then will we be able to develop sustainable solutions to unemployment.
